There are no words for it. Ecstasy is laughably inadequate, as are rapture, euphoria, bliss . . . . Ugly, harsh syllables that come nowhere near capturing the merest fraction of what he feels. The experience is primal and transcendent, like birth, like death.Scott Raymond lost his parents in a bloodbath when he was only nine years old, but despite the occasional headaches and hallucinations, he's managed to turn that trauma into moderate success as a true crime writer. The success doesn't extend to keeping up the relationship with his estranged wife and son, however. Hoping to regain a sense of normal family life, he follows them to Ash Creek, Ohio under the pretense of writing a new book about a missing six-year-old girl.
There, he encounters a young woman who shares the missing girl's name. She leads Scott into a world of psychotropic spiders, shark-toothed teenagers and the expression of nearly every dark desire. Fear and fascination lay equal claim as the nightmare fantasies of this realm bleed into Scott's daily life and his attempts to maintain a relationship with his son.
Soon, he will need to use this world of cruelty and pain to face his past, his future, and what his life might have become. If he fails, it is only a matter of time before the nightmare that bloodied his childhood will reach out to ensnare his own son.

Harrison is a lonely teenager, afraid of water ever since a boating accident as a toddler. And he and his mother have just moved to the worst possible place: Dunnsmouth, a Lovecraftian town on the Atlantic coast. When his mother disappears, Harrison tries to solve the mystery, putting him in conflict with a strange church, a killer, and the Deep Ones... It will take all his resources —and an unusual host of allies— to defeat the danger and find his mother.

You know how much I love epic adventure of the fantastical sort, which is why I'm so pleased to announce a new Epic Fantasy StoryBundle! This one will include the first volume of my role-playing game trilogy, Gamearth, where self-aware fantasy game characters engage their own players in a fight for control and survival. AND it includes as a free bonus the standalone steampunk fantasy story The Bookseller's Tale, a sneak preview from my upcoming novel Clockwork Lives with Neil Peart from Rush that you can get by signing up for the newsletter. – Kevin J. Anderson
As always, StoryBundle lets you name your own price to get a whole bunch of epic and excellent titles. A minimum bid of $5 gets you the basic set of six books:

• One Horn to Rule Them All by Todd McCaffrey, Jody Lynn Nye, Mary Pletsch & More!
• Beasts of Tabat by Cat Rambo
• Mythworld - Invisible Moon by James A. Owen
• The Magic Touch by Jody Lynn Nye
• The Crown and the Dragon by John D. Payne
• Gamearth - Book 1 by Kevin J. Anderson

Even better, if you pay $15 or higher, you unlock a bonus set of incredible books.

• Hard times in Dragon City (Shotguns & Sorcery #1) by Matt Forbeck
• Glamour of the God-Touched by Ron Collins
• A Stranger to Command by Sherwood Smith
• Ghosts of the Conquered by Matthew Caine
• The Alchemist by Paolo Bacigalupi
• The Executioness by Tobias S. Buckell

And as always, you can support our two favorite charities with every purchase: Girls Write Now and Mighty Writers, and special for this bundle, the Challenger Learning Center. Both causes help nurture future generations of writers. It's a cause very important to us (we love reading!) and we'd love it if you could help them out.
Last year's Truly Epic Fantasy Storybundle broke all StoryBundle records. Let's see if we can do it again. Help us spread the word so we can all go on some epic adventures together!
The bundle is available for a very limited time only, via http://www.storybundle.com. It allows easy reading on computers, smartphones, and tablets as well as Kindle and other ereaders via file transfer, email, and other methods. You get multiple DRM-free formats (.epub and .mobi) for all books!
